Robbery conviction
On June 13, 1966 Ernesto Miranda learned that his conviction was overturned on television. He of course thought that he would be freed of all of his charges but Miranda ended up having to serve time for a past robbery conviction.
Death
Miranda died on January 31, 1976. He was murdered in a Phoenix bar, and ironically his accused murderer was read his "Miranda Rights".
